About Me
Hi, I’m Dikshika Heyr, an interior designer, storyteller, and quiet observer of how spaces shape us.
I believe a well-designed space doesn’t just look good, it feels right. It reflects who you are, how you live, and what matters to you.
My work isn’t about imposing a style. It’s about listening, understanding your story, and translating it into materials, mood, and movement. Whether I’m designing a warm family home, a modern studio, or a statement piece of furniture, my aim is always the same:
To create spaces that tell your story, not mine.
How it all started
My design journey wasn’t scripted, it unfolded.
In July 2020, while pursuing my MBA, I was doing hair extensions business, managing clients, content, and day-to-day operations. Around the same time, my parents began rebuilding their house in our hometown; a place where “interior design” wasn’t even a thing.
What started as a few casual opinions soon turned into something far more meaningful.
With no formal training, just my iPad and a sketchbook, I took charge of the entire design, floor plans, door details, furniture sketches, mood boards, finishes, tiles, lighting, all from scratch. Every piece was chosen with purpose and emotion. The house was completed in 2023 after long COVID delays, and I realized this wasn’t just a one-time passion project.
This was what I was meant to do.
After that project, I left the beauty industry behind.
I joined a metal furniture company as a product designer, gaining firsthand experience in material behaviour, spatial proportion, and client-based execution. It was hands-on and humbling. But I wanted more depth.
So, I stepped into formal education.
I enrolled in the Post Graduate Diploma in Interior Design at AAFT, Noida, where my intuitive design sense met technical precision. I learned AutoCAD, spatial planning, and how to communicate design ideas effectively not just visually, but emotionally.
Now, I blend both: instinct and technique.
My Design Approach
I design for my clients, They’re not just part of the process, they are the process.
I become a co-creator, a storyteller, and a translator of their life, culture, and dreams.
Each person is unique, and every space should reflect that.
Some seek simplicity and calm. Others crave bold, expressive energy.
Some hold on to memories; some want a fresh start.
My role is to listen. Really listen and design with intention and truth.
Through form, texture, material, and light,
I bring their essence to life.
Every tile, every cushion, every curve is chosen with care.
Nothing is random.
Nothing is generic.
Everything is you.
My Vision
To create meaningful and sustainable spaces
that speak, that breathe, and that hold the people inside them with care.
Design, to me, is not a career. It’s how I turn the invisible into form.
